*specializing in supporting families with children who have
experienced disruptions in their early development and attachment relationships*
Children who have experienced chronic and complex trauma (specifically in relationship to caregivers) often demonstrate intense emotional reactivity and severe behavioral challenges at home, at school, with one parent, in social situations, during times of transition, on birthdays and holidays, etc. These are not occasional meltdowns, yet an overall way of moving through the world that can feel overwhelming for both parent and child. It is critical that parents supporting these children become educated on how to create emotional safety for a child who is afraid of, yet desperately seeking intimacy, safety, and connection.
